Eastland Travel Guide

Pristine, rugged and picturesque East Cape stretches along the coast from Opotiki on the edge of the Bay of Plenty to Hicks Bay and then down the east coast to Gisborne. Its spectacular coastline hugs the inland wilderness areas including the Raukumara Range and is scattered with slow-paced Maori communities. Largely off the tourist trail, East Cape is worth the drive for those who wish to escape.
